Dr. Andrés Pantoja Vasquez is an acclaimed classical guitarist whose artistry bridges the gap between historical classical mastery and contemporary innovation. As a versatile performer, his work spans from the refined technical precision of classical repertoire to the rich rhythmic complexities of Latin American folk music, Tango, Flamenco, and NuJazz.

Dr. Pantoja Vásquez holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Arizona, where he studied under maestro Tom Patterson. In addition, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Today, he offers specialized online guitar lessons covering classical guitar, flamenco, charango, and Latin American folk styles.

Beyond his accomplishments as a soloist, Dr. Pantoja Vásquez maintains a profound connection to the roots of his instrument. Specifically, his expertise is nurtured by his long-standing participation in El SurCo, a group dedicated to traditional Latin American music.

Consequently, this extensive performance background grants him an authentic command of regional performance practices, which he seamlessly integrates into his classical repertoire.
